CHARGE CHARACTERISTIC
MULTI XS 3600 Battery Charger has a three step fully automatic charge profile, IUoUp:
1. Bulk Charge. Charging where 80% of the energy is returned. The charger delivers an almost constant current until the battery voltage reaches maximum level.
2. Absorption Charge. During absorption charging the voltage is held constant at the set voltage. In this period the current decreases as the battery approaches full charge.
3. Maintenance Pulse Charge. Maintenance phase, where the charger delivers a pulse if the battery voltage drops. The State of Charge is between 95% and 100%. This is the most careful maintenance mode for a battery that is connected for a long period of time (months).

Using the MULTI XS 3600 will enhance battery life and ensure a high degree of operational safety.
BATTERY TYPES AND PROGRAMMING
The MULTI XS 3600 can be set very easily to charge Wet, MF, GEL and AGM lead-acid battery types. With MULTI XS 3600 you can charge batteries from small 1.2 Ah to big 120 Ah.
TEMPERATURE PROTECTION
To protect the charger from overheating, the MULTI XS 3600 is equipped with a power delimiter. At raised ambient temperatures output power is reduced. The power will also be reduced if the charger should be accidentally covered. In this way the charger is protected from damage. The charger continues to operate but at a lower power output. When the ambient temperature drops the power will automatically rise again.

*) Back Current Drain is what is draining the battery if the charger is connected without the power cord connected. CTEK Multi XS 3600 extremely low Back Current Drain is equal to 1 Ah/month. A normal figure for other chargers is 1 Ah/day, which could ruin your battery.
**) Quality of the current and voltage is very important. A linear charger produces a current with a high ripple. High current ripple heats up the battery and makes the positive electrode to age prematurely. High voltage ripple could harm other equipment, which is connected to the battery. CTEK Multi XS 3600 produces a high quality current with very low ripple. There is no need to disconnect the battery from the vehicle. |
